How families read a girl's biodata in Hindi
In most North Indian families, a girl's biodata reaches the boy's parents through relatives or a pandit, often as a PDF on WhatsApp. They read the name and education, then the kundli lines, then the family, then अपेक्षाएं. A clear Hindi biodata makes that easy.
Kundli lines, honestly
Write राशि, नक्षत्र and चरण, and the mangalik status in plain words: मांगलिक: नहीं, हाँ or आंशिक मांगलिक. Families who match kundlis will check anyway, and being open about partial dosha builds trust. Many pandits consider it cancelled by the other chart.
Her education and work
Write her degree, where she works and the city: "बी.फार्मा., फार्मासिस्ट, सरकारी अस्पताल, भोपाल". If she wants to keep working after marriage, the expectations line should say so: "लड़की की नौकरी में सहयोग करने वाला".
Family
माता-पिता with their work, भाई-बहन, joint or nuclear family and मूल निवास. Families in Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan often add the mama's name and town too.
About her, in simple Hindi
"शांत, समझदार और परिवार की लाड़ली। अस्पताल में मरीज़ों की मदद करना अच्छा लगता है; घर पर रंगोली, कढ़ाई और दादी के साथ भजन।"
It means: calm, sensible and the family's darling; likes helping patients at the hospital, and at home enjoys rangoli, embroidery and bhajans with her grandmother.
What not to write
- रंग (complexion) or वज़न (weight)
- Long lists of every relative
- Anything about दहेज (dowry), which is illegal
Send the finished biodata as a PDF so the Hindi letters look the same on every phone.
