Where the photo goes
On a biodata with a photo, the picture sits at the top, beside or just below the name. It is the first thing families look at, so give it room: one clear photo is better than three small ones.
Designs such as Portrait Rose and Navy and Gold have a dedicated photo frame. Every other design adds the photo neatly at the top when you upload one.
What makes a good biodata photo
- Taken in the last six months
- Chest up, face clearly visible
- Natural light from a window, not a ceiling bulb
- A plain wall behind
- Clothes the person would wear to a family function
- No sunglasses, filters, group photos, or bike and car poses
A phone camera is perfectly good. Stand facing a window, ask someone to hold the phone at eye level, and take twenty photos. One of them will be right.
One photo or two?
One is enough. If you want a second, make it a full-length photo in traditional clothes. More than two crowds the page; extra photos can be shared on WhatsApp once a family is interested.
Privacy and photos
A biodata is often forwarded from relative to relative. Choose a photo you are comfortable with anyone seeing. With a private live link you can remove or change the photo at any time, and the link always shows the latest version.
Biodata without a photo
Some families prefer to share the photo only after the first conversation, and that is perfectly respectable. Every design works without a photo too.
