Marriage biodata format without horoscope

Not every family matches kundlis, and not everyone knows their exact birth time. A biodata without horoscope details is complete and respectable. Here is how to write one, and what to say if another family asks.

A complete biodata, without the kundli section

A biodata without horoscope details has every usual section (personal details, education and work, family, about me, expectations, contact) and simply leaves out:

  • Birth time (optional; you can still include it)
  • Rashi, nakshatra and charan
  • Manglik status
  • Gotra, if your family doesn't follow it

Nothing else changes, and the biodata is no less complete.

When families leave the horoscope out

  • Their tradition doesn't use it: most Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist and many Jain and Parsi families
  • The family doesn't believe in it: many Hindu families today match values, not charts
  • The birth time isn't known: common for people born at home or before birth certificates recorded time

Saying it kindly

If you're sharing the biodata with families who might match kundlis, one line in the about-me helps: "Our family doesn't follow kundli matching; we care more about values and kindness." It is honest and respectful, and families who need a match will know to ask.

If someone asks for the kundli

You have three good options:

  1. Say your family doesn't follow it, politely.
  2. Share the date, time and place of birth so they can have a chart made.
  3. If the birth time isn't known, say so; some astrologers can still do a date-based match.

Questions families ask

Is it okay to make a marriage biodata without horoscope details?

Yes. Many families don't match kundlis, including most Muslim, Christian, Sikh and Buddhist families and many Hindu families. A biodata without horoscope details is complete.

What if the other family asks for a kundli?

You can say honestly that your family doesn't follow it, or share the birth date, time and place so they can have it made if they wish.

What if the birth time is not known?

Write the date and place of birth only. Some astrologers can still do a name-based or date-based match, and many families go ahead without one.

Should a biodata without horoscope say so?

A short line in the about-me, such as "our family doesn't follow kundli matching", saves families who do from wondering.

Which design suits a biodata without horoscope?

Any design. Navy and Gold, Modern Minimal and Sage Garden have no religious opening line, which many such families prefer.
